BISHOP'S CASTLE AGRICULTURAL SHOW

At its recent meeting, the Bishops Castle Agricultural Show Committee re-affirmed the decision taken at last year’s AGM that because no new offers of support had been forthcoming during 2009, it would not be possible to hold a Show in 2010. Although the Horse and Pony Show held last July was well supported, and the level of entries matched those at the last full show in 2008, it was not financially viable on its own. The committee concluded that it would be unacceptable to place its funds at risk by staging a similar event in future years, and therefore decided to keep the Show in abeyance until further notice.
